ANKENY — Local Christian Kevin Morris became furious Tuesday after learning government funds had been used to provide food to people who could not afford it, immediately taking to Facebook beneath a profile picture of Jesus Christ to demand that the practice stop.
“ENOUGH WITH THE HANDOUTS,” Morris wrote, using an image of the religious figure whose teachings famously and repeatedly emphasized helping the poor. “People need to learn to take care of themselves.”
Morris later shared a Bible verse about loving one’s neighbor before clarifying in the comments that this obviously did not mean just fucking giving them groceries.
At press time, Morris was praying for America to become a Christian nation.
